\body
Dear Professor Schneider:

I have known Wolfgang Bibel for a number of years. I have
been impressed with the variety of topics he works on and with his
independence of mind. I am impressed with his work on connection
graphs and also with his approach to formalizing common sense
knowledge.

I can't give a more precise evaluation of his
work, because I find much of it technically rather difficult
compared to the level of my interest in the topic.

\closing
Sincerely,

John McCarthy
